Notebook Unit 4 Rivers and Seas

Homework for Monday,24 January:

Write the definition of the words that we viewed in class.
Meander:

Place were the river has a curve.

Delta:

With sedimentationand river force form little islands in the mouth of the river.

Tributary:

Small river that deposit its water in another river.

Bog:

An area that is not going to move water.

Lake:

An area of water sorruondedby land.

Torrent:

Little and quik rivers.

 Waterfall:

In upper course, when the water falls.

 Estuary:

When the river's force is lower and the sea entres in the river's mouth and there aren't deltas or sedimentation.



Glacier:

Frozen mass of water at the head of the river.

Marsh-Lagoon:

 Marsh are mixtures of mud and water that is not going to move.

 Lagoons are only water that don't move.
